The Nano fever has not spared anyone, young or old. My colleagues at my previous office often used to pull my legs that I should go in a Nano instead of Scooty to the office!

The ‘first woman photojournalist’ of India, 96-year-old Homai Vyarawala, has sold her 55-year-old Fiat to buy the world’s cheapest car Nano.

Vyarawala sold her Fiat car to a vintage car lover in Mumbai after she found it difficult to get it repaired. Her Fiat car was imported from Italy 55-years-ago through sea route.

As expected, Jade Goody’s life is reportedly being adapted for a film tentatively titled Catch a Falling Star which will detail her poverty-ridden childhood and struggle with cancer.

Danny Hayward, a friend of Goody and one of three trustees of a fund set up to provide for her two children, Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4, said a film on Goody’s life was being discussed. “Her story lends itself to a biographical film. She’s captured the mood of the nation. We’re talking about it, and we welcome approaches. We want it to tap into raising awareness of cervical cancer,” he said.
